Advent is Here!

This Week in Pre-K

Letter: Jj

Religion:
David and Goliath
Daniel and the Lion's Den

     Theme: Christmas

The season of Advent is present in our classroom.  We started using our Advent wreath by lighting the HOPE candle this week.  Each week we light another candle to remind us that Jesus is coming!  While Advent is a time of waiting, we do not have to wait to receive the Lord and his gifts.  Jesus is and always will be the greatest gift!  He gives us HOPE today of a future with him and all believers in Heaven.

The 2 and 3 day class enjoyed playing with the Tee-pee this week.

making Christmas trees

They worked together to build this Noah's ark puzzle.

They spent the morning constructing this Lego building.

Pretending to be the teacher.

We love using scissors at school!

I think more sequins ended up on us and the floor...than on our Christmas trees!

We had fun getting a little messy!

They made chairs for their animals to sit on!  How cute!

We put our Christmas tree pieces in order from largest to smallest.

We learned about the letter J this week.  It fit perfectly with our Christmas theme.
J is for JESUS!

Try our delicious ice cream!

Having fun exploring with magnet wands in this Christmas container.

Gingerbread sensory play

"Away in a Manger"

Practicing their counting skills and adding beads to the Christmas trees.

Beautiful angels and Christmas poinsettias painted by the 5 day class
